InstaDeep - Reinforcement Learning in Industry

On July 14th, 2026, we will have a guest lecture in our Deep Reinforcement Learning course, which will be delivered by research scientists at InstaDeep (https://instadeep.com/). This is an AI startup focusing on AI (and in particular RL) for enterprises. Founded in 2014 in Africa, they were recently bought by the German Biotech company BionTech for close to 700 Million $.

 

The presentation is going to focus on recent large-scale projects deployed in Germany, most importantly railway fleet dispatching (Deutsche Bahn) and airport scheduling at Frankfurt Airport.
